Disney's animated movies

Since Disney in 1937 completed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the company has completed 42 animated movies if one follows the official list. This official listing is not fixed though, mostly because of the fact that the movie The Fox and the Hound first was said to be number 20, but four years later it was followed by The Black Cauldron, officially number 25. All recent movies have been counted upwards from The Black Cauldron, so that must be regarded as the official counting for now.

In the 1990s Disney started to make animated featurelenght movies in the studios that were producing the animated tv-series. Most of these movies were made as Direct-to-video releases. These movies are not included in the movie lists by Disney and they are therefore to be found here in a separate list below.

Computer animated movies from Pixar/Disney have also been listed on their own.

Additionally there is a couple of movies that mainly are ordinary feature movies which contains animated episodes. Movies like Mary Poppins, The Song of the South och Who Framed Roger Rabbit have been placed in this group together with some others.

For the titles of the movies in other languages, see the multilanguage page.
